Extending your Visa:
When you arrive in the Philippines, you will be given a 21 day tourist visa. After this 21 day period you can get an extension of 38 days, this then takes your stay up to 59 days. From this point you can extend your visa for 59 day periods (two months), allowing you to stay in the Philippines for over one year. At this point you must leave the Country for at least a day, on your return the whole process can start all over again.
Please be advised that if you leave the country you will require an additional outbound ticket on your return to the Philippines otherwise Philippines Immigration may deny you entry.
You can extend your visa in person at the Bureau of Immigration located in Mandaue City, just off the reclamation area. The process is fairly easy and should not take more than 2-3 hours. Please try and avoid fixers both inside and outside the BI offices. They will typically charge you more than you need to pay.
